People, past and place come together in these oral histories and short films.

They are collaborations, created and curated by both New College student and community member. Some highlight the happenings of Sarasota today, others seem to come from other worlds completely. Many share wisdom and impart lessons.

With the guidance of Dr. Erin Dean, associate professor of anthropology, students in the Oral History Tutorial learn the theory and practice of oral history.

Partnered with a local, New College students interview, record and film the stories and scenes of Sarasota’s collective history.
